Terraced Family Garden

Engaging with a garden that slopes away from the house and has no regular shape can be a challenge, even more so when it’s a garden that you originally designed 25 years ago! It is not unusual to be asked to update a garden that we once designed for an earlier homeowner but in this case we created a radical overhaul retaining trees and hedges that were planted by us before.

The new garden works with a new extension and a series of terraces joined with steps bring the space together providing level areas for lawn and entertaining without pushing planting to the boundaries. This is a family garden much enjoyed by the owners in 2020 providing different areas to escape and relax.
