Over the past 30 years Andrew has contributed to the land-based horticultural and design professions through teaching a new generation of designers and horticulturists. He is a founding director of the internationally renowned London College of Garden Design in London and Melbourne where he has mentored some of the most exciting new designers coming out of the UK and Australia over the past 20 years. He continues to teach at both colleges.
The unique planting design programme that Andrew created for the college champions innovative, sustainable planting design in modern landscapes and attracts students worldwide. He is often asked to speak at conferences and regularly interviews for podcasts and other media on modern planting design and horticultural careers.
Andrew also teaches planting design to Diploma students at the School of Botanic Horticulture in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew; the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Academy and the Royal Horticultural Society, Wisley Garden. He is currently working with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh developing new skills training for their online platform available in over 70 countries.
